The Capacity of Technology
One of the most prevalent topics in our class so far has been whether or not there is a limit to the amount of technology that we can create. We have created many types of technology over the course of our history, but are we running out of things that we can create? We have already shown that the Internet and other types of technology have drastically changed the 10/10 rule in the spread of technology. However, is this increased speed of technology distrubution affecting the amount of new discoveries that we can have in the future? Or do you believe that the Internet and other forms of technology will facilitate the creation of new technology?

This is a very interesting post. Some of the questions you asked on the end actually made me think for a little while. I do believe that even with the increased speed of technology it will not affect the amount of new discoveries in the future. I believe the technology will continue to advance and we will have new discoveries in the future.
ReplyDeletePersonally I believe that humanity will never stop creating. I also believe that the thought of reaching an end to the creativity will always be present. Back in 1899 the director of the US Patent Office assured president McKinley that "everything that can be invented has already been invented." This comment was before flight, cell phones, gps, mp3 players, and the internet. Our predecessors could not forsee the things we now use daily and very likely we can not even begin to contemplate the wonders our descendants will create.
